Taizhou High-tech Industrial Park, situated in the central area of Taizhou, consists of a core area, a green area, an innovation area and a coastal industrial area. With an area of 122.53 square meters and a population of 196,000, it is a comprehensive development zone serving as a provincial economic development zone, tourism resort, investment area for Taiwan businessmen and high-tech industrial park. The park is now applying for the title “national high-tech industrial development zone.”
The park’s dominant industries cover vehicles and components, new materials, equipment manufacturing and modern services with a focus on finance. Its total revenue in 2017 reached 4.8 billion yuan ($691.86 million), including 2.26 billion yuan of local financial revenue. The gross output value of industrial enterprises above designated size amounted to 26.55 billion yuan.
The park now has two companies listed on the Main Board, eight listed on the New Third Board (the National Equities Exchange and Quotations) and 20 national high-tech enterprises. Meanwhile, it is a provincial cluster for the modern service industry, having gathered 157 financial institutes.

Located in the coastal area of middle Zhejiang and north of Taizhou Bay, Zhejiang Toumen Port Economic Development Zone enjoys great geographical advantages. The zone is planned with a land area of 136 square kilometers and sea area of 1,200 square kilometers. With chemical industry and vehicle manufacturing as pillar industries, the zone is committed to the integrated development of the port, industry and city, aiming to build itself into a national economic and technological development zone and a model for Zhejiang’s bay economic development. As of 2017, the zone had attracted 234 companies, including 19 national high-tech companies and 178 ones that have already gone into production. The industrial output value totaled 46.6 billion yuan.
