Taizhou, Zhejiang province, has prepared a vibrant array of cultural activities to enrich the upcoming National Day holiday.

The Wenling Grand Theater will host a variety of artistic performances, including concerts, dramas, and traditional opera, offering residents and tourists a sensory feast while expressing heartfelt wishes for the country's prosperity.

From Sept 24 to Oct 7, over 10 performances will be held in the little theater at the Wenling Grand Theater, including Yueju Opera, Peking Opera, and choral performances presented by well-known troupes in Wenling.

On Oct 1, exhibitions celebrating the 75th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China will display calligraphy works and collections at the Wenbi Academy and Songxi Art Museum in Huangyan district. Meanwhile, a photo exhibition will take visitors back in time with old photos of Haimen in Jiaojiang district from the 1980s and 1990s.

Scenic spots and characteristic streets also offer a diverse range of activities. Jiazhi Old Street in Jiaojiang will look dazzling at night. In the play of light and shadow, Yueju Opera, Song Dynasty (960-1279)-style dances, and folk songs intertwine to create a poetic melody.

The food carnival is also a highlight of the holiday. The 2nd Taizhou Fine Food Week will be held in Huangyan from Oct 1 to 6, promising to delight visitors with exquisite local flavors.
