The opening ceremony of the first East China Sea Bird Watching Season was held at the Xuanmenwan National Wetland Park in Yuhuan, Taizhou, Zhejiang province on April 12.

Since April is the month for promoting wildlife protection in Zhejiang, the ceremony also marked the beginning of activities to promote Zhejiang's 43rd "Bird Loving Week".

A bird watching activity was hosted at the wetland park from April 12 to 14, attracting 100 bird enthusiasts from 25 teams across the country, who engaged in 29 hours of bird watching in various habitats, including wetland parks, coastal wetlands, and hilly farmlands.

A special fair commenced after the opening ceremony. Various bird-themed creative products, including blind boxes, canvas bags, and mugs, garnered attention with their cute and interesting designs.

The East China Sea Bird Watching Season, scheduled to run from April to June, will integrate traditional culture, music, outdoor events, and more. Planned activities include kite festivals, cultural and creative markets, music festivals, and wetland photography, aiming to create a unique ecological and cultural experience in Yuhuan.
