Taizhou to celebrate Lantern Festival with joyful festivities

Taizhou in East China's Zhejiang province is gearing up for Lantern Festival, from street parades to local village activities, with something for everyone to enjoy this holiday.
The Ancient City of Taizhou Cultural Tourism Area will be adorned with lantern displays and feature riddle-solving, traditional opera performances, and street performances. At Guanhe Water Street, thousands of lanterns will light up the river, alongside traditional music and opera.
In the surrounding towns and villages, unique celebrations are set to take place: Tong'ao village will feature lantern-making and local delicacies, offering visitors an authentic cultural experience; Zhuxi town will host a traditional lion dance and riddle-solving activities, filling the streets with festive energy; and Sanhe town's parade of scholars and warriors will showcase the town's rich cultural heritage.
Taizhou's cultural venues will also join in the festivities, with the Yuhuan Cultural Center hosting lantern-making and traditional games, and Sanmen Cultural Center blending traditional customs, folk games, and local food tastings.
These festive activities are set to offer a delightful mix of cultural traditions and modern entertainment for all to enjoy during Taizhou's Lantern Festival.
