Taizhou home to two new landmarks with national beautiful bay recognition

Print PrintThe Taizhou section of Yueqing Bay and the eastern Wenling bay area have been recognized by China's Ministry of Ecology and Environment as a national-level beautiful bay and an exemplary beautiful bay development case, respectively.
Located in Yuhuan, a county-level city of Taizhou, the Taizhou section of Yueqing Bay boasts a coastline of 111.8 kilometers, with an ocean area of about 203 square kilometers and a total of 48 islands.

The area has implemented comprehensive reforms integrating marine governance, ecological improvement, and sustainable marine development. The area adheres to a philosophy of ecological tourism, building the Taizhou No 1 Highway scenic belt, with the goal of creating a beautiful coastal bay and becoming a garden harbor city.
Bordered by Taizhou Bay to the north and Aiwan Bay to the south, the bay area of eastern Wenling spans 203 square kilometers. It utilizes scenic seaside resources and coastal elements to create attractive spaces, including a seawater bathing area.
