The 2026 Olympus Cup Youth Soccer Tournament took place in Jiaojiang district, Taizhou, East China's Zhejiang province, on Jan 20. Participants visited the Xingzhi Campus of Taizhou Xueyuan Road Primary School, where they observed a campus soccer culture display.

The event highlighted the launch of the Olympus Cup tournament and the Sunshine Green Field Youth Soccer High-Quality Development Pilot Area. It also featured presentations on the district's soccer education initiatives and the signing of cooperation agreements.

As the country's first Sunshine Green Field pilot project, Jiaojiang has utilized local resources and focused on deepening the integration of physical education and sports. This approach includes establishing a multi-tiered school league system, creating specialized youth training bases, and incorporating digital management systems, which together have formed a distinctive youth soccer development path.

Driven by three key factors — supportive mechanisms, integration of sports and education, and digital integration — Jiaojiang has built a collaborative development system integrating policy, education, and technology.

Looking ahead, Jiaojiang will continue to enhance its systematic approach to soccer talent development, creating a continuous soccer talent pathway from early childhood through high school.
