Fei Shaobiao, a deputy to the Zhejiang Provincial People's Congress from Taizhou and an engineer at Zhejiang Haoqing Automobile Manufacturing, shared his insights on the importance of legal support for innovation in the private sector during the fourth session of the 14th Zhejiang Provincial People's Congress held in Hangzhou from Jan 14 to 17.

Fei highlighted the local procuratorates' focus on the high-quality development of the private economy and its recognition of the crucial role of intellectual property protection in enterprise growth.

As a frontline technical worker, Fei emphasized the significance of safeguarding corporate innovation. The Linhai municipal procuratorate, for instance, has established a service station to deliver legal services directly to enterprises.

The station offers tailored legal lectures and integrates intellectual property courses into the craftsperson training system, creating a comprehensive legal protection mechanism. This helps businesses focus more on technological innovation with greater legal certainty.

Fei said he hopes the Taizhou procuratorate will further improve legal support for private enterprises, while playing a stronger role in supporting the city's transition from manufacturing to smart manufacturing.
