Taizhou in East China's Zhejiang province has transformed its urban landscape by vitalizing landmarks, optimizing transportation networks, and expanding green spaces.

As of November, the city had completed renovations covering 2.05 million square meters and had invested 46.4 billion yuan ($6.62 billion) in construction.

The city is reshaping its development framework by breaking away from a single-center model. Taizhou's urban core areas will continue to attract high-end resources, further solidifying its leadership. Meanwhile, county-level regions are experiencing rapid growth, with Yuhuan emerging as a key development hub in southeastern Zhejiang. Taizhou is also focused on culture-driven urban development, with Xianju utilizing its ecological resources to accelerate modernization.

Taizhou has prioritized enhancing residents' quality of life this year, ensuring affordable housing, improving transportation, and expanding public spaces.

The city has been developing "living circles" and expanding "future communities" that offer integrated services — such as healthcare, elderly care, and cultural activities — to enhance residents' quality of life. The completion of 35 pocket parks this year has also increased the area of green space by 13.2 hectares, providing accessible areas for relaxation.
