Taizhou Chamber of Commerce in Indonesia was established in Jakarta on Dec 20, bringing together over 500 prominent figures from politics, business, and the overseas Chinese community.
The establishment of the chamber aims to foster closer ties between Taizhou in East China's Zhejiang province and Indonesia.
In his speech, Indonesia's Minister of Cooperatives Ferry Juliantono, emphasized that the chamber should not only focus on economic benefits but also strive to improve public welfare, create job opportunities, and strengthen ties between Indonesia and Taizhou.
Li Guanfu, president of the chamber, highlighted that it would serve as a platform for resource sharing among Taizhou natives in Indonesia and provide a new avenue for businesses to collaborate and explore markets together. He also stressed the importance of regular visits and exchanges to deepen pragmatic cooperation.
