A logistics drone landed in the open area outside the Zhejiang Marine Aerospace High-End Equipment Industry Exchange venue in Taizhou, East China's Zhejiang province, on Dec 9. The drone delivered live yellow croaker from Dacheng Island to the event site in minutes.

Local fisherman Li Puyou praised the drone delivery, noting that cold-chain technology and rapid transport increased the market value of his catch. Similar applications — ranging from island supply transport to offshore emergency response — are being rolled out across Taizhou.

Zhejiang Tunian, based in Taizhou Bay New Area, has secured approval for 12 long-term island air transport routes, with plans to expand to medical supply delivery and other high-frequency scenarios. The city has identified 10 key marine low-altitude application scenarios — spanning logistics, fisheries, emergency response, and equipment manufacturing — to connect real-world demand with technological innovation and industrial growth.

The event also marked a breakthrough in the city's aerospace ecosystem. Taizhou GeeSatellite, together with six partners including Hangzhou Dianzi University and the Second Institute of Oceanography under Ministry of Natural Resources, launched the Zhejiang Marine Satellite Innovation Consortium. The consortium focuses on satellite platform technology, new payload development, and marine application research, forming a full industry chain that covers everything from satellite development and core component manufacturing to constellation networking and data applications.
