Taizhou in East China's Zhejiang province is accelerating efforts to build a first-class business environment, supported by a steady inflow of landmark industrial projects and new enterprises.

This year, a 1 billion yuan ($141 million) commercial space project was confirmed in Taizhou Bay New Area, the country's first global sourcing center launched by Alibaba opened in Jiaojiang district, and the city registered its one-millionth market entity.

Since 2002, Taizhou has pioneered several national firsts, including streamlined business registration and integrated administrative approvals. The city has also introduced multiple policy packages to strengthen its pro-business framework.

Government service reforms have significantly improved efficiency, as procedures such as oversized-cargo transport can now be completed with a single online submission. To date, 31 key national service packages have been fully implemented across municipal and county levels, with 228,000 cases processed.

Taizhou is also developing tailored service clusters for key industries. Industrial parks now offer integrated solutions covering certification, sterilization, financial services, and R&D support, ensuring enterprises can complete procedures without leaving the park.

With an emphasis on enterprise needs, Taizhou is expanding financial support, advancing industry-university collaboration, and strengthening talent services. At the same time, the city is deepening internationalization by improving cross-border trade facilitation and supporting companies as they expand into global markets. In the first three quarters, Taizhou's exports rose 9.3 percent, with emerging markets and electromechanical products driving growth.
