A total of 1,145 Geely Galaxy Starship 7 EM-i vehicles departed from the Taizhou Comprehensive Bonded Zone in East China's Zhejiang province on Nov 11, bound for Europe via the Damaoyu Port.

This marks the first time Geely has exported complete vehicles through the bonded zone, effectively relocating its export gateway closer to home and giving a boost to Taizhou's ambitions in global automotive development.

As the city's only customs-supervised zone with bonded functions, the Taizhou Comprehensive Bonded Zone has leveraged its strategic location and integrated port-zone linkage system to support Geely in obtaining early tax rebates and reducing capital costs. To accommodate large-scale vehicle exports, the zone provided services such as advance declarations and scheduled customs clearances, enabling vehicles to be released immediately after filing. These measures improved clearance efficiency and significantly reduced logistics expenses.

Located only two kilometers from Geely's Linhai manufacturing base, the bonded zone offers clear logistical advantages that alleviate inventory pressure and improve transport efficiency. A Geely representative expects the company's vehicle exports to exceed 60,000 units next year — double the current figure — and plans to expand cooperation with the zone to drive performance and strengthen Taizhou's role in China's auto export growth.
