The 138th China Import and Export Fair, also known as Canton Fair, is taking place in Guangzhou, Guangdong province, from Oct 15 to Nov 4.

Taizhou in East China's Zhejiang province has sent a record 864 enterprises to the event and secured 2,177 booths, reflecting an increase from the previous session. The city's booths account for 22.9 percent of Zhejiang's total, ranking second in the province.

Taizhou is also utilizing the fair's spillover effects by expanding its reach, collaborating with Global Sources again. Forty-four selected enterprises will participate in the concurrent Guangzhou Sourcing Fair to promote the region's manufacturing strength.

In Wenling, a county-level city in Taizhou, Zhejiang Auarita Pneumatic Tools has been busy shipping more than one hundred models of oil-free air compressors across 11 product series.

"Most of our orders come from global exhibitions, and the Canton Fair is the most important one," said Lin Bangfa, general manager of the company.

To enter the American market, Auarita upgraded its existing models to meet regional voltage standards and developed new air compressors tailored to local conditions.

Taizhou's exhibitors span 43 product zones, with 32 percent of new items. Over 300 participants are either national manufacturing champions, specialized small enterprises, or Zhejiang export brands, highlighting the city's commitment to innovation and smart manufacturing.
