The Third International Exchange Activity for Taizhou Overseas Communication Ambassadors was held on Sept 26 in Jinqing town, Taizhou, East China's Zhejiang province, where more than 10 cultural envoys explored the city's ties with the ocean through immersive cultural experiences.

The group began at the Qingnian Art Coast, where music filled the air at the Longtai Lighthouse. They then visited Gaosheng village, stepping into the Marine Reclamation Culture Hall, Intangible Heritage Hall, and Village Goods Hall to learn about Taizhou's pioneering maritime history. Listening to live interpretations, participants praised the city's spirit of innovation, which is rooted in ocean culture.

Hands-on workshops added another dimension to the visit. Under the guidance of local inheritors, guests braided straw ropes and steamed Gaosheng cakes, a festive pastry that symbolized progress.

Since 2024, Taizhou has appointed 45 overseas communication officers, expanding in both number and diversity. Acting as cultural bridges, they utilize personal perspectives to share stories of Taizhou and China with a global audience, helping local traditions connect with international audiences.
