Local fishermen and spectators gather in the Jiazhi subdistrict in Jiaojiang district, Taizhou, Zhejiang province, to participate in the annual folk event of sending the "Major Heat boat" to the bank of the Jiaojiang River on Tuesday, which is Major Heat, the last solar term of summer. 

They pray for national prosperity, favorable weather, and a bountiful harvest in the fishing industry. The event is representative of intangible cultural heritage program under State protection.
