Bridget Sebolai, a cultural enthusiast from South Africa, filmed her visit to the Tong Xing Gong Fu Night Market in Taizhou, East China's Zhejiang province, on June 27, and introduced Taizhou's vibrant night culture to a global audience.

Bridget, who has been living in Taizhou for six years, has developed a strong interest in Chinese traditions. From conversations with international friends to video content online, she has used various formats to present Chinese culture to the world.

When she first arrived in Taizhou, she immediately felt the passion of the people. According to Bridget, Taizhou stands out for its warmth and cultural heritage. While visiting a stall featuring Xianju boneless lanterns, she was captivated by the colorful craftsmanship. It was her first time seeing this style of lantern, and she found it fascinating that they are made without a frame.

In addition to the cultural elements, local specialties, including plum blossom cakes and freshly prepared seafood, left a deep impression on her.

In recent years, more international residents like Bridget have become unofficial cultural ambassadors, sharing local customs and everyday experiences through their own perspectives. Their efforts help present a rich and authentic view of China to audiences around the world.
