Print PrintThe mascot Wang Chao and the medals for the fifth Zhejiang Provincial Sports Congress were unveiled on July 8 in Taizhou, East China's Zhejiang province.
Wang Chao was inspired by a small octopus native to the mudflats along Taizhou's coast, known for standing upright when tides rise. This reflects local marine culture and highlights the octopus as a prized seafood delicacy. The name "Wang Chao" symbolizes Taizhou's seafaring spirit and pioneering drive.
