The 2025 Vision Unbounded Photo Carnival, which runs from now to May 31, opened at the Museum of Contemporary Art, Taizhou, located in Jiaojiang district, Taizhou, East China's Zhejiang province, on May 16.

Nearly 700 works from 258 Chinese and international photographers present a visual feast for visitors.

With the theme of "Hehe Jiaojiang", the carnival revolves around the concept of local Hehe culture in its curation, exhibition design, image presentation, and dialogue between Chinese and international photographers — showcasing a fusion of urban and cultural elements.

Hehe culture is a regional philosophy rooted in harmony and integration. The ancient concept "Hehe" can be traced back to Confucian thought on harmony.

The exhibition sets out to capture the charms of the city through light and shadow, with five major sections.

These showcase the city's transformation, the moments of workers and daily life, traditional crafts and intangible cultural heritage, the artistic conception of mountains and rivers, and the cross-cultural dialogue between American, Slovakian and local photographers.

Photographers from countries such as Serbia, France, India, and Malaysia, collaborated with local photographers to explore and create in places like Zhang'an and Jiazhi ancient Street — capturing the humanistic essence and warmth of life in the city through their lenses.

The carnival allows visual language to collide and intersect from different cultural perspectives, further promoting the development of local image creation.
