The Taizhou Intangible Cultural Heritage Crafts Museum opened in the Shili Changjie block in Luqiao district, Taizhou, Zhejiang province, on April 27.

The museum will serve as a comprehensive platform, combining Taizhou's intangible cultural heritage with research, culinary delights, hands-on crafts, folk performances, and product sales.

Through exhibitions, experiences, and educational initiatives, visitors can immerse themselves in the unique allure of Taizhou's intangible cultural treasures.

Luqiao district boasts 260 intangible cultural heritage items, including one national-level and nine provincial-level items.

The Shili Changjie block, a provincial historical and cultural block, has thrived on the revitalizing force of intangible cultural heritage, witnessing evolving business landscapes, vibrant activities, and increasing renown.

In 2024, the area attracted 14.48 million visits, with a remarkable 126.88 percent year-on-year increase, gradually emerging as a premier destination for tourism and leisure in Taizhou.

It has also been recognized as one of the province's first intangible cultural heritage-themed city blocks.

"We are committed to exploring the profound fusion of intangible heritage with tourism, education, and technology to drive its creative transformation and innovative growth," said Chen Genfa, chairman of the Social Industry Development Group in Luqiao.
