A cultural exchange activity and rural school cultural practice achievement show took place at Dongshan Central Primary School in Jiaojiang district, Taizhou, Zhejiang province, on March 27.
At the event, students performed martial arts, traditional Chinese opera, and African drumming, and engaged in activities such as making lacquered fans, creating shadow puppetry, and crafting Taizhou embroidery.
The international cultural experience area featured hats from across countries involved in the Belt and Road Initiative and miniature models of many countries' buildings.

Since October 2024 when Jiaojiang district established the Overseas Cultural Practice Base at Dongshan Central Primary School, 11 cross-cultural exchange activities have been hosted to date. In early March this year, an online martial arts class allowed the students to exchange with children in Argentina.
"We hope that children see the world through their eyes and connecting mountains and seas through culture, striving to be a pioneer in cultural overseas ventures and exploring new avenues for improving rural education," said Wang Bin, principal of Dongshan Central Primary School.
