Taizhou in Zhejiang province issued its first batch of "Join in Cards" to five international experts at a ceremony at Taizhou University on March 25.
The Join in Card combines work permits for foreigners with social security cards, offering several convenient functions. Expats who receive the card can access various services, including government services, medical care, transportation, and cultural activities, similar to Taizhou residents.
The card allows foreign experts with medical insurance to get treatment and settlement services at designated medical institutions across the city. Additionally, it enables seamless transportation in 336 cities nationwide and offers free book borrowing at 24 libraries and all Hehe book bars in Taizhou.
Professor Vladimir A. Levchenko from Taizhou University, a long-time resident of Taizhou, expressed his enthusiasm for receiving the Join in Card. He mentioned that since coming to Taizhou, he has consistently felt the friendly atmosphere and efficient services in the city.
He highlighted that the card eliminates the need to carry multiple cards and helps make life easier for expats in Taizhou.
Taizhou plans to further integrate the Join in Card with various urban services, including transportation, medical care, tourism, and consumption. This initiative aims to create a welcoming environment that fosters a sense of belonging for foreigners working and living in Taizhou.
