The recently concluded 9th Asian Winter Games has reignited the ice and snow economy, prompting astute companies in Taizhou, Zhejiang province, to capitalize on this trend.
Zhejiang Vista Sports Goods Co, a frontrunner in professional sports equipment production, has rode the "winter wind" to expand into new realms of ice and snow industry development.
The output value of ski equipment has accounted for more than half of the total output value of the company, with products sold to over 30 countries including the United States, Austria, and South Korea.
The ski goggle production soared from 500,000 pairs in 2023 to around 1 million pairs in 2024, according to Wang Jialu from the company.
Senbo Outdoor Products Co, an outdoor jacket enterprise in Sanmen county, has taken the lead in venturing into skiwear following the Beijing Winter Olympics in 2022.
Today, in collaboration with the Sanmen Research Institute of Zhejiang Sci-Tech University and multiple brands and enterprises, Senbo Outdoor is developing and designing more high-quality products, while also planning the branding path for its skiwear.
