The 23rd China (Shanghai) International Optics Fair (SIOF 2025) began in Shanghai on Feb 20 and will last for three days, featuring nearly 50 eyewear companies from Duqiao town in Taizhou, Zhejiang province.

Prominent enterprises in Duqiao's eyewear industry and 18 local brands shone at the Duqiao eyeglasses regional brand pavilion. Thousands of the latest products debuted there, captivating the attention of both domestic and international buyers.

Li Yuesheng, chairman of Yingchang Group from Duqiao, said, "The fair showcases the advanced productivity of China's eyewear industry. I also noticed the eye health and smart products areas at the fair, which gave me inspiration for our future business."

Duqiao is known as the birthplace and core area of Taizhou's eyewear industry. With over 1,000 supporting enterprises, its eyewear sector enjoys a robust export market, reaching over 50 countries and regions worldwide.

A complete eyewear industrial value chain encompassing design, production, and sales has been established, with major products including sunglasses, reading glasses, lenses, eyewear accessories, and eyewear manufacturing machinery. Nowadays, Duqiao has become the largest eyewear procurement market in regions such as the Middle East, West Asia, and North Africa.
