The China Daily-Necessities Metropolis in Luqiao district, Taizhou, Zhejiang province, reopened with a grand ceremony on Feb 5 after Spring Festival.

After the ceremony, a surge of customers and merchants flooded into the mall. To attract the influx of folks, a shoe store was displaying a wide array of shoes. Within two hours of opening, the store had already welcomed hundreds of customers.

Store owner Yu Susu said, "We had our spring collection prepared well in advance, so once we opened, customers flocked to purchase our new products."

In a bid to expand her market share, she utilized the Chinese New Year break to collaborate with factories in Shenyang, Hangzhou, and Wenzhou cities, intensifying efforts in design and brand establishment.

The China Daily-Necessities Metropolis boasts 4,500 stores and over 2,500 operators, all of which were open for business on the inaugural day, anticipating visits to surpass 20,000 people.

"Our mall achieves an annual turnover of about 11 billion yuan ($1.51 billion), demonstrating a trend of gradual progress and incremental growth each year," said Wu Lijun, deputy general manager of Luqiao China Daily-Necessities Metropolis (Group) Co.

To aid businesses within the mall to expand internationally, a 20,000-square-meter cross-border industrial park will be established this year, offering comprehensive one-stop services for enterprises.

The industrial park is projected to attract over 70 cross-border e-commerce companies, with an expected annual export value exceeding 2 billion yuan.
