Forty-seven international visitors from countries including the United Kingdom, Germany, Russia, and Italy visited Taizhou, Zhejiang province, from Dec 7 to 9, immersing themselves in the beautiful landscapes and rich culture of the city.
Their journey began at Tiantai Mountain, the cradle of Hehe culture, where they absorbed the core values of harmony and unity of the culture. Chen Chen, Party Secretary of Tiantai county, extended a warm welcome to the visitors and underscored Tiantai's pivotal role in the promotion of Hehe culture.
The group visited exhibitions, experienced calligraphy, and made Hehe lanterns at the Hehe Culture Park, deepening their appreciation for the concept of "Hehe".
The following day, the guests marveled at the grandeur of the Tiantai Mountain Waterfall, a natural wonder standing 325 meters tall and 90 meters wide.
In the Culture & Tourism Area of the Ancient City of Taizhou, they appreciated the fusion of dance and martial arts in Huangsha Lion Dance — an intangible cultural heritage item, and immersed themselves in the quaint charm of ancient architecture on Ziyang Ancient Street.
The final stop was the Shenxianju Scenic Area, where they were impressed by the breathtaking scenery and convenient amenities. Walking past iconic spots like the Ruyi Bridge, they embraced the natural beauty and ecological wonders of the area.
Reflecting on their experience, Abubakar Uba Ibrahim from Nigeria praised Taizhou's beauty and the friendliness of its people, acknowledging the profound influence of Hehe culture in promoting peace and tranquility.
