The 20th Beijing-Tokyo Forum, held in Tokyo on Dec 4 and 5, brought together over 400 representatives from various sectors of China and Japan to discuss "Restoring peace and rebuilding a global order based on multilateral cooperation through China-Japan cooperation".

Hehe culture, which originated in Tiantai county, Taizhou, Zhejiang province, became a hot topic among attendees. Deeply rooted in Chinese history, the culture emphasizes peace, harmony, and unity.

During the event's sub-forums, two experts from Taizhou highlighted the significance of Hehe culture in promoting global peace and understanding. Li Jianjun, vice-president of Taizhou University, stressed the importance of Hehe culture in fostering coexistence and mutual understanding between civilizations. He Shanmeng, director of the Taizhou Hehe Culture Research Institute, delivered a speech on Hehe culture contributing to global peace.

They also shared the remarkable progress that has been made and a range of activities in preserving and promoting Hehe culture in Taizhou.

Li said he believes that Hehe culture embodies the concept of common development and prosperity, providing a solid cultural foundation for building a community of shared future for mankind.

"The value concepts, thinking modes, action paths, and goal orientations of Hehe culture have contributed unique Chinese wisdom and solutions to global peace and development," said He.
