Print PrintIn Tiantai county, Taizhou, Zhejiang province, the "Teaclean" tea shop offers milk teas named after Tiantai's scenic spots, each labeled with the tea variety.
"We want to promote Tiantai's beautiful scenery through tea drinks," explained Wang Yong, general manager of Zhejiang Zining Yellow Tea Co. Shifting from high-end gift teas to more affordable options, the company now caters to a wider range of customers.
In July, "Teaclean" opened as a physical showcase to promote authentic Tiantai tea to more people.
In Shiliang town, Taizhou Xuri Tea Industry Co manages a 100-hectare tea garden, blending tradition with modern tech to ensure quality tea processing.
"With the help of Xu Renpeng, a practitioner of Tiantai Yunwu Tea production techniques, we also work to preserve and promote this intangible cultural heritage item," said Xu Yuejun, the company's general manager.
Xu also unveiled the company's plans to create a tea workshop to offer a multi-faceted tea experience space with the tea garden. Visitors can witness modern tea-making, experience traditional tea craftsmanship, pick tea leaves, and enjoy tea tasting and meditation.
Xu hopes this blend of agriculture, culture, and tourism will allow more and more visitors to appreciate and spread Tiantai's tea culture.
