The 2024 Wenling Key Industries Overseas Cooperation Procurement Matchmaking Meeting was held in Wenling on Dec 3. Focusing on "Brand Globalization, Industry Digitalization", the event aimed to propel Wenling's key industries onto the global stage, fostering cross-border opportunities.

The meeting drew more than 200 representatives from the Mexican and Turkish embassies in China and central state-owned enterprises, as well as buyers from over 20 countries including Russia and Mexico. Top cross-border e-commerce platforms such as Amazon and Shopee and a number of Wenling's leading enterprises also attended the meeting.

Renowned experts provided in-depth analyses of Wenling's key industries and offered professional guidance. The event also presented global perspectives on overseas market analyses and cultural differences to instill international thinking in local enterprises.

Furthermore, a special procurement matchmaking activity allowed local companies to engage in one-on-one exchanges with central SOEs, cross-border e-commerce platforms, and overseas procurement representatives, fostering potential collaborations.

Wenling has been working to further open up and develop its foreign trade in recent years. Last year, it saw over 1,200 foreign trade enterprises export more than 1,900 products to 187 countries and regions.

From January to October this year, Wenling's exports reached 34.92 billion yuan ($4.80 billion), a 10.1 percent year-on-year increase. This makes the city a leading exporter in Taizhou.
