A cosmetics production base by Dema (Zhejiang) Cosmetics Manufacturing Co is being built in Jiaojiang district, Taizhou, Zhejiang province.

This marks South Korea's BSG Corporation's first production base in China and will annually produce 1,000 metric tons of tea polyphenols and 2,000 tons of facial masks.

The base will produce the popular DermaBell facial masks, with an expected annual output value of 300 million yuan ($41.40 million).

Receiving 200 million yuan in investment, the project consists of an 8-story research and development building equipped with advanced R&D equipment and high-level talent and a 6-story production building with multiple intelligent and automated cosmetics production lines.

"The basement is nearly complete, and the project as a whole has entered the main structural construction phase above ground. We expect to top out the buildings by early March next year," said Chen Jianyong, the onsite project manager.

In October last year, South Korea's BSG Corporation signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Jiaojiang and established Dema (Zhejiang) Cosmetics Manufacturing Co.

Founded in 2014, BSG Corporation produces and sells high-end medical beauty products. It owns ten brands, including DermaBell and Cosgram.
