China Slackline Open set to thrill at Shenxianju Scenic Area in Taizhou

Print PrintThe First China Slackline Open is poised to captivate audiences from Nov 3 to 6 at the Shenxianju Scenic Area in Taizhou, Zhejiang province.
Known as "the art of balance on a rope", slacklining requires athletes to execute challenging maneuvers like flips, spins, and dashes on slacklines.
The event includes highline speed races for the first time in addition to traditional lowline freestyle and speed races. Over a hundred domestic slackline athletes have registered for the competition.
Meanwhile, the 9th China Shenxianju International Highline Challenge will also take place. Slackline talent from around the globe, including world champions, will once again converge at Shenxianju for an unforgettable showcase.
The first Shenxianju International Highline Challenge in 2014 marked the beginning of a decade-long relationship between the scenic area and the sport.
From 2014 to 2023, the scenic area continued to offer innovative experiences to visitors. Its commitment to hosting slackline events has elevated its global reputation as a pivotal platform for slacklining promotion.
"The events not only showcase the premium outdoor sports facilities of Shenxianju but also attract an increasing number of slackline enthusiasts and tourists. Looking ahead, Shenxianju aims to further propel the development of slacklining in China through global exchanges," said Zhang Haifeng from Shenxianju Tourism Group.
