Taizhou Open University in Taizhou, Zhejiang province, recently established the Citizens' Lifelong Learning Luqiao Experience Center, offering a new avenue for lifelong learning to entrepreneurs in this thriving innovation hub.

One such entrepreneur, Zhang Mingyuan, with over three decades of experience in the lock core industry, faced challenges due to language barriers. "This is a perfect opportunity for me to learn English and venture into cross-border e-commerce," said Zhang.

"The center is a vital extension of our educational framework," said Wang Huanbin, the school's Party secretary.

Taizhou Open University has been contributing to the development of rural talent, turning many farmers into agricultural leaders. It also established teams in rural operation, agricultural technology, farmer training, product sales, and brand promotion to provide training in the fields.

For social workers like Wu Zhexi, the training at the Taizhou Social Work College established by the university has been transformative, enabling the practical application of theoretical knowledge.

As social workers' significance in urban governance grows, Taizhou Open University's initiatives signal a proactive approach towards holistic education and skill development, bridging the gap between academic learning and real-world application.

Taizhou Open University is dedicated to aligning with citizens and the city, providing a lifelong learning platform for residents.
