The 136th Canton Fair began on Oct 15, with enterprises from Taizhou, Zhejiang province, eagerly preparing to showcase their prowess.

XGM Corporation, a seasoned participant, selected over 20 of its latest automotive shock absorbers to display prominently at the event. The company, specializing in automotive shock absorbers, has sold its products in more than 160 countries and regions.

Sales Director Dai Hongjun highlighted the company's strategic shift towards emerging markets like Africa and South America, tailoring products to meet specific market demands.

Zhejiang Tianying Locomotive Co participated in a procurement matchmaking event in September, setting its sights on the African market. "At that time, our products received recognition from many African buyers, which boosted our confidence. We hope to achieve some gains at the Canton Fair as well," said Ji Peixi, the company's foreign trade director.

Taizhou's enthusiasm for the Canton Fair remains palpable, with 802 companies and 2,100 booths showcasing a diverse array of products, including household appliances, machinery, and textiles.

This year, the city saw increases in the numbers of participating companies and booths compared to previous sessions.

Additionally, Taizhou will set up six exhibition areas at the fair, highlighting its strengths in new energy electric vehicles, sprayers, plastic daily necessities, festival lights, smart home systems, and outdoor jackets.

By concentrating their displays, Taizhou aims not only to showcase its industries' capabilities and allure but also to provide a platform for small and medium-sized enterprises to expand globally.
