The recently opened Yunzhong Greenway on Baiyun Mountain in Taizhou, Zhejiang province, has become a popular destination among hikers and nature enthusiasts.

The greenway, Taizhou's first steel-structured aerial pathway, spans 3.7 kilometers across Baiyun Mountain in Jiaojiang district. During construction, workers made efforts to preserve the natural environment and cut down as few trees as possible.

"Where we had to, we placed holes in the wooden walkway to allow trees to continue growing. This also brings people closer to nature," explained Jin Di, deputy director of the public works construction center of Jiaojiang.

With its seven connection points and multiple entrances, the greenway offers various paths allowing visitors to explore attractions on Baiyun Mountain. It serves as a multipurpose space for environmental preservation, leisure, and cultural displays, like a belt winding through the mountain.

Jin highlighted the greenway's role in connecting the scenic spots around Baiyun Mountain, making it easier for residents to enjoy the area and boosting the city's overall tourism appeal.
