Huangyan district in Taizhou, Zhejiang province, is set to unveil four new pocket parks soon, enhancing community spaces for residents.

Located at the intersection of Erhuan West Road and Juandong Bridge, Yulan Park is currently in the final phase of its construction.

The park was once a neglected space with little ecological or social value. Considering the needs of nearby residents, the Huangyan Landscape and Greening Maintenance Affairs Center decided to repurpose the area by turning it into a pocket park.

"We added some recreational facilities, sheltered walkways, and seating areas, and renovated the pathways," said Lu Mianzhi, an employee at the center. "The park is being developed into a vibrant shared space for residents."

The rejuvenated parks feature lush greenery, inviting lawns, and well-maintained pathways. Residents can now enjoy a harmonious blend of nature and community, fostering a sense of belonging and relaxation.

The Meiguanlu Pocket Park is already open to the public, while Donglu Park, Baihe Park, and Yulan Park are expected to begin welcoming visitors by mid-October.
