The Da Chen Tong Xin vessel carried its first tourists to Dachen Island in Taizhou, Zhejiang province, Tide News reported on Sept 25.
Dazzling with its red hull and black windows, the vessel is equipped with dark green leather sofas, vibrant light strips, a large LED screen, and a beverage bar, with spacious seating arrangements.
Measuring 35.6 meters in length and 8 meters in width, the vessel has two levels and can carry up to 90 passengers, promising a unique travel experience.

The vessel is China's first hybrid new energy passenger ship, utilizing a blend of oil and electricity for propulsion. This innovative approach not only slashes fuel costs by 20 percent but also reduces carbon emissions and pollution in the island's vicinity.
The vessel's enhanced startup sensitivity and reduced noise further elevated the passenger experience, with engine noise levels inside dropping to a mere 40 decibels — comparable to the hum of a refrigerator, according to Captain Huang Wenbing.
At present, the vessel mainly runs between Shangdachen Island and Xiadachen Island — the two parts of Dachen Island, with plans to expand its operations to include tourist routes around the island and to Yijiangshan Island.
