Renowned for its natural beauty and diverse tourism offerings, Xianju county in Taizhou, Zhejiang province, has long been a favorite among travelers. With the advent of the Hangzhou-Wenzhou high-speed rail, Xianju has "boarded the train" to become a more accessible tourism hotspot.

Between September 6 and 8, nearly 6,000 passengers, predominantly tourists, disembarked at Xianju station via the high-speed rail. To ensure top-notch services, the county has arranged 15 buses to transport visitors to the Shenxianju scenic area at no cost.

At the same time, Xianju unveiled special offers encompassing dining, lodging, transportation, sightseeing, shopping, and entertainment. For instance, within the first seven days of the high-speed rail's launch, tourists who present their ID cards and rail tickets at Xianju station can access several scenic areas for free.

There are also numerous discounts being offered at various cultural and tourism establishments within the county.

Before the opening of the Hangzhou-Wenzhou high-speed rail, tourists visiting Xianju had to transfer multiple times. "With the opening of the high-speed rail, the number of visitors to the Shenxianju scenic area is expected to grow by over 20 percent, significantly boosting the tourism industry," said Wu Yan, deputy general manager of Zhejiang Shenxianju Tourism Group.
