Zeguo town in Taizhou, Zhejiang province, an industrial and trade powerhouse, has experienced a transformation by shifting its focus to emerging industries like the robotics industry.

One of the pioneering companies leading this charge is Taizhou Changhong Robot Co. The company has developed machining robots tailored for the local machine tool industry, which are welcomed by local enterprises for their light weight, small size, and high efficiency.

As the first robot enterprise operating in Zeguo, Changhong has been committed to developing new products since 2018. Its annual output value currently stands at 3,000 robots.

Changhong's success story is emblematic of Zeguo's broader push to develop the robotics industry. The town is currently home to seven robotics projects, with a number of technologies at the national and even global forefront.

Taizhou Curve Robot Co, which was founded in Beijing and moved to Zeguo last December, has independently developed a 3D intelligent spraying robot system.

The company was attracted to Zeguo not only due to its well-developed industrial chain and logistics system but also the local business environment.

"In 5 months, we completed various procedures, including permit applications, factory renovation, and equipment installation. It's very fast," said Tu Chunsheng, factory director of the company. "The local government deals with our affairs efficiently, and they even set up a team to assist us."
