This summer, several automotive accessory enterprises in Taizhou, Zhejiang province, a crucial processing hub for automotive products in China, have been focusing on enhancing the heat insulation and cooling functionality of their products, leading to a surge in the export of automotive heat insulation products.

Zhejiang Tianhong Auto Accessories Co in Tiantai county has increased its investment in new product development this year, upgrading its mesh lumbar support products and producing multifunctional fan chair backs and cooling seat cushions.

Compared to traditional products, these innovations can reduce a person's perceived temperature by 5 to 6 C and have been positively received by overseas consumers.

"The chair backs and seat cushions have collectively reached an average monthly export volume of 50,000 to 80,000 sets," said Chen Tongchai, chairman of the company.

Wenling Xingman Automotive Accessories Co has designed a cooling and health-promoting seat cushion, adding buckwheat hulls into the mesh fabric of the cushion. Finding the balance between softness and firmness as well as offering excellent ventilation, the product has gained popularity overseas.

"Products featuring sun protection, ventilation, and heat insulation are highly sought after, and our foreign trade orders have seen a 10 percent increase compared to last year," said Ye Liangyan, general manager of the company.
