The Taizhou Hehe Culture — Calligraphy Exhibition by Wang Bo opened at the Huangyan Museum in Taizhou, Zhejiang province, on Aug 28.

Wang Bo, an artist born in Huangyan and vice-chairman of the Zhejiang Province Calligraphers Association, has been widely recognized for his calligraphy achievements.

The exhibition was held at the National Art Museum of China in Beijing from May 30 to June 12, exploring Zhejiang's cultural essence and spotlighting Taizhou's unique culture through calligraphy, which received significant attention.

After the success in Beijing, Wang brought some of his works back to Huangyan to give Taizhou residents the chance to enjoy his works in person.

The local exhibition showcased over 50 calligraphy works by Wang inspired by Hehe culture of Taizhou, which originated in Tiantai county and emphasizes harmony, cooperation, and integration.

The works feature a diverse range of calligraphy styles, predominantly clerical script, cursive script, and running script, with themes revolving around Hehe culture and historical figures' literal works praising Taizhou. Wang's works harmoniously blend poetry and brushwork, bringing both visual and spiritual enjoyment to the audience.

The exhibition will run until Sept 18.
