Two Taizhou rowing athletes to compete in Paris Paralympics

Print PrintThe 2024 Paris Paralympics will be held from Aug 28 to Sept 8. Athletes Wang Xixi and Jiang Lingtao from Taizhou, Zhejiang province, will compete in rowing events, which will take place from Aug 30 to Sept 1.
Wang, born in 1993 in Jiaojiang district, joined the Zhejiang rowing team in 2010. Over the past 14 years, she has secured multiple gold medals in national competitions, including the 10th and 11th National Games for Persons with Disabilities. At the Hangzhou 4th Asian Para Games, she won gold in the PR3 Mixed Double Sculls event.
Jiang, born in 1995 in Wenling, initially excelled in archery before transitioning to the provincial rowing team in 2018. He claimed two gold medals at the 11th National Games for Persons with Disabilities. At the 2023 World Rowing Championships, he qualified to participate in the Paris Paralympics.
At the 4th Asian Para Games, Jiang and Wang, alongside their teammates, claimed gold in the PR3 Mixed Coxed Four event, showcasing their prowess.
