A "robot dog", developed by Hongchuang Group, patrolled the Haimen 220-kilovolt Substation in Taizhou, Zhejiang province, on July 3. This marked the new technology's first time on active duty in Taizhou.

With its ability to autonomously navigate and learn as well as connect with sensing devices and a digital integration platform, the robot is remotely operated and can carry out autonomous electric power inspections.

It features real-time monitoring and analysis of equipment, scenario simulation, and fault prediction, with quick adaptation to different situations, especially high-risk environments. It also demonstrates millimeter-level precision and high stability, ensuring highly efficient and quality work.

The robot contributes to the digitization and intelligence of power grid operations, marking a significant step towards unmanned inspections and intelligent maintenance in the power sector.
