As cooperation between China and countries involved in the Belt and Road Initiative intensifies, companies from Taizhou, Zhejiang province, are deepening their trade ties with those countries.

Shixia Holding Co, a leading sprayer manufacturer in Huangyan district, has been experiencing a surge in demand from BRI countries since January. "Sales have increased by around 30 percent year-on-year," said Wu Xingli, the company's foreign trade manager.

Last year, the company secured a large number of orders from countries like Poland and Chile through participation in local exhibitions.

"This year we plan to attend exhibitions in over 20 countries, most of which will be BRI countries," Wu said. "We will bring more new products like cleaning products to foreign markets, in addition to sprayers."

Zhejiang Auarita Pneumatic Tools Co, a high-tech enterprise focusing on pneumatic equipment, also saw a significant increase in orders from BRI countries such as Vietnam, Russia, and Iran.

"From January to May this year, exports grew by about 40 percent, with an output of 150,000 units, covering about 80 percent of BRI countries," said Jiang Junyi, deputy marketing manager.

Additionally, the enterprise is developing new oil-free air compressors suitable for harsh environments to meet the demands of BRI markets.

Taizhou Customs has reported a significant growth in exports to BRI nations, with growth rates between 10 percent and 30 percent to countries like Malaysia, Thailand, and the Philippines from January to May.
