The opening ceremony of Taizhou's 2024 Grassland Concert Series took place in Jiaojiang district, Taizhou, Zhejiang province on June 1, marking the beginning of a music and cultural feast in Taizhou.

Inaugurated in 2023, the Grassland Concert Series breaks away from traditional venues, bringing performances to parks, neighborhoods, and communities, which makes art more accessible to residents. In 2023, Taizhou hosted a total of 1,605 grassland concerts.

The opening ceremony featured top-notch performances provided by local art organizations such as the Taizhou Popular Music Professional Committee and the Taizhou Erhu Professional Committee.

The Taizhou Popular Music Professional Committee participated in 200 concerts last year, according to Deputy Secretary-General Zhang Qiong.

This year, the team will continue in their active participation. "We hope that through this public stage, we can bring more excellent music to the public, so that the beauty of art can bloom on the land of Taizhou," said Zhang.

Jiaojiang will turn popular public locations into stages every weekend during the Grassland Concert Series, giving residents the chance to enjoy the charm of art and culture near their homes.
