A delegation representing Hehe culture from Taizhou, Zhejiang province took part in the 30th Asian Festival held in Ohio, the United States, on May 25 and 26, local time.

The Asian Festival is a cherished yearly tradition in Ohio. Since its inception on July 25, 1994, the festival has been held annually on a weekend in late May or early June, showcasing Asian culture with a reverberating impact throughout the US.

At the festival, the Taizhou delegation presented top-level performances, including Taizhou Luantan Opera and folk music, spreading Taizhou's traditional culture and embodying the spirit of Hehe culture.

Rooted in Tiantai county in Taizhou, Hehe culture emphasizes harmony, cooperation, and integration.

In recent years, Taizhou has leveraged Hehe culture to promote external exchanges and cooperation. Through activities such as Taizhou Luantan performances, intangible cultural heritage exhibitions, and Hehe photo exhibitions, the city tightens its bonds of friendship with sister cities.
