Five rural museums in Taizhou, Zhejiang province were included among the first batch of provincial rural museums. The Tiantai Hehe Museum made the list.

Located in the Hehe Culture Park in Tiantai county, it is China's first museum focusing on Hehe culture.

Tiantai county is believed to be the birthplace of Hehe culture. "Hehe" is a combination of two Chinese characters with the same pronunciation. The first "He" refers to peace and harmony, while the second denotes cooperation and integration.

The museum is divided into several parts showcasing the origin of Hehe culture, its preservation, homestays, and wedding customs, presenting both the essence and value of Hehe culture.

More than 3,000 artifacts and historical materials in the museum, such as pottery vessels, embroidery works, and wooden works, tell stories of Hehe culture to visitors.

In addition to exhibits related to the "Two Gods of Hehe", the museum also features modern creations that reflect the culture's rich historical legacy and high value.

The museum provides a tangible experience of Hehe culture, making it visible and accessible to all.
