The Chinese peony is entering its blooming season following the Grain Rain, the last solar term in spring, which fell on April 19 this year. From April 20 to May 12, a pink sea of Chinese peonies awaits tourists in Baishi village in Huangyan district, Taizhou, Zhejiang province.

Baishi village transforms into a haven of romance in April, with peonies spreading all over the mountains at an altitude of over 700 meters.

Even on rainy days, when the flowers are shrouded in mist, they spare no effort to show off their delicate beauty both before and after the skies clear.

On April 27, a music party will enliven the fields, inviting visitors from all over to indulge themselves in a marvelous audio and visual feast.

Tourists can also treat themselves to a variety of specialties offered by Baishi village locals at a fair. From fresh fruit and vegetables exuding the essence of spring to sun-dried goods imbued with the passage of time, these delicacies offer a retreat from the noisy city and a glimpse into the quiet village life.
