Over 120 enterprises from Taizhou, Zhejiang province, are seeking business opportunities at the 32nd East China Fair (ECF), which started its four-day exhibition on March 1 in Shanghai.
Renowned as the largest trade fair in China focusing on textiles, garments, and light industry, this year's event occupies an exhibition area of 126,500 square meters, marking an increase of 21,300 sq m compared to the previous edition. A total of 3,422 enterprises are participating, including 326 foreign exhibitors representing 13 countries and regions, all surpassing the scale of the previous ECF.
Taizhou's involvement in this year's ECF has reached a historical zenith. A total of 230 booths were erected, representing an increase of 51 from the previous session and accounting for 22.2 percent of the total number of exhibition booths set up by Zhejiang. The showcased products span across various categories such as daily necessities, decorative gifts, cultural and leisure goods, kitchen and bathroom products, and textile fabrics, with the largest number of booths dedicated to daily consumer goods, totaling 111.
On the fair's opening day, Zhejiang Yingbo New Materials Co Ltd was bestowed with the "ECF Product Innovation Award" for its self-developed SIPA multifunctional oven bag. The product stood out for its advanced fresh-locking technology and the judicious application of new materials, marking the first time that a foreign trade enterprise in Taizhou has received such an honor.
"We primarily concentrate on the research and development of products in the field of breast milk preservation and storage. Our products, including breast milk bags, milk powder bags, and supplementary food bags, have garnered significant acclaim from international customers. In the future, the company will persist in focusing on product development, integrating new materials, and continually innovating new products," stated Yingbo's spokesperson.
Since its inception in 1991, the ECF has evolved into a major trade fair in China, second only to the Canton Fair in terms of international influence, according to its organizers.
