A total of 382 brands have been listed in the latest batch of Chinese time-honored brands, as announced by the Ministry of Commerce on Feb 1. Among them, two - Gaolong and Shenbaoshan - hail from Taizhou, East China's Zhejiang province.

Gaolong is a renowned straw weaving brand owned by Zhejiang Shunpu Arts and Crafts Co Ltd, headquartered in the county-level city of Wenling. Its products are highly regarded in Europe, America, Japan, and South Korea, solidifying its strong reputation in the global straw weaving market. Additionally, the company has been instrumental in preserving the Wenling straw weaving technique, leading to its recognition as a provincial intangible cultural heritage.

On the other hand, Shenbaoshan, located in Taizhou's Huangyan district, is a medical institution that integrates traditional Chinese and Western medicine for diagnosis and treatment, alongside providing health management services. In 2012, it was inscribed as a Zhejiang provincial intangible cultural heritage, and in 2022, it was designated as a demonstration base for traditional Chinese medicine culture and health tourism in Zhejiang.
