Taizhou, located in East China's Zhejiang province, processed 1.48 billion parcels in 2023, a 6.07 percent year-on-year increase. This equates to an average of 4.06 million items dispatched from Taizhou on a daily basis, as reported by the Taizhou Municipal Postal Administration.

These achievements reverberated on a national scale. According to data released by the National Postal Administration, Taizhou's express delivery volume catapulted the city into the top 50 nationwide, securing the 21st position. Within Zhejiang, it claimed the fourth place, following closely behind Yiwu, Hangzhou, and Wenzhou.

Meanwhile, the city's e-commerce sector grew in sync with its express service industry. Official figures unveiled that Taizhou's online retail sales reached 146.43 billion yuan ($20.39 billion) in 2023, representing a yearly uptick of 13.4 percent, surpassing the provincial average.

Taizhou's characteristic products, including footwear, plastic goods, industrial cutting tools, automotive supplies, and agricultural machinery, saw exceptional online sales performance.

"A confluence of logistical prowess and manufacturing capabilities positions Taizhou's e-commerce industry for significant future growth," remarked a representative of the Taizhou Municipal Bureau of Commerce.
