Zhejiang will improve mobile network (4G, 5G) signals, particularly in areas such as towns and villages, medical institutions, higher education institutions, and transportation hubs.

This marks a breakthrough in addressing issues like poor signals in rural areas and unstable signals on high-speed trains. It promises faster internet speeds and broader coverage.

In 2023, Zhejiang focused on improving signal coverage in rural areas, on elevators, and in basements, among others, and by the end of November, wireless network signals had been successfully placed in 5,363 basements and 43,121 elevators.

Additionally, 88,000 5G base stations were established in rural areas, making Zhejiang the first province in the nation to achieve 5G signal coverage in all its administrative villages.

Following the issuance of the notice, Zhejiang's various telecom operators have already started to make efforts to facilitate its implementation.
